THE WAY IT ONCE WAS

V1:

I like you better when you're walking away

That's what I'm really trying to say

It doesn't matter anyway

You're not listening

You think that you're the only one traumatized

Your insurrections have become weaponized

The past is dead and drawing flies and you should've stay buried

Chorus:

Damn those skeletons beyond our closet doors

They're not welcome anymore

And can we get back to the way it was before?

The way it once was

V2:

You can point accusing fingers all you want

You're just trying to start an argument

And here we go again around in circles like a reconnecting group of long lost enemies

<Chorus>

You should’ve stayed buried

Lost and left behind

You should’ve stayed buried

In the graveyard of my mind

You should’ve stayed buried

In your bed of lies

I will not play your game

I’ll murder your name

Can we get back to the way it once was?

To the way it once was

<Chorus>

You can point accusing fingers all you want

who is ozmyridis?

Ozmyridis is a 4-Piece Prog/Metal Band from Charleston, SC. Rising from the ashes of a smoldering 2022 Charleston Metal scene, Ozmyridis quickly and aggressively launched their campaign to shatter the stigma that has loomed over Metal in the low country. In a city oversaturated by jam bands and bubblegum pop, Ozmyridis set out to destroy every shred of doubt lingering in the minds of metal fans in Chucktown.

Inspired by bands like Tool, Killswitch Engage, Sevendust, Metallica, Breaking Benjamin, Deftones, Slipknot & more, Ozmyridis has created a sound that is unlike any other in Charleston.

Ozmyridis is guaranteed to leave you breathless as you dance, mosh, scream, and sing along to the songs of the Myriad.

Driving guitars, visceral percussion, haunting melodies, guttural screams and thought provoking lyrics concoct a remedy for fans of all ages and metal sub genres.

Ozmyridis fans are known as “The Wayfarers of the Myriad” which is tied into their multicultural and spiritual backgrounds. The name comes from the lyrics of one of their flagship songs “Transcendence” which the lyrics are: “We are the wayfarers of our own Transcendence”

It is their belief system that all humans on earth have the ability to create their own reality. It is encouraged at all times to hold love and compassion in all hearts toward all living things so that our species can thrive under the tumultuous beauty our Mother Earth and our great Universe has provided us.

Ozmyridis’ goal is to unite the tribes of the local Charleston Metal scene and to lead the wayfarers through the troubled waters of the Myriad on their journey to “The Awakening”…
